  • Our speaker for the February 16th Snobird Meeting will be Lori Parish Keelin, Blessed to Blessings Boxes for Baldwin County. The group is one of several in the area whose mission is to help feed the hungry.  Please consider helping the South Baldwin Christian Church food pantry on Keller Road in Foley and Blessed to Blessings by bringing non-perishable food items to the meeting; we will also take up a monetary collection. Donations will be divided between the two organizations.

  • from Snowbird Theatre Production Hospitality Committee  Dear Friends:

I wrote yesterday to ask for help with the Snowbird Theatre Production.  Since then I have created an online signup for both baking cookies and for hosting at theater performances.  I’m giving you new contacts in the information I sent yesterday.  Any way you get this out to your club members:

Cookie Bakers – Audiences attending the Snowbird Production at the South Baldwin Community Theatre look forward to  the home-baked cookies we serve during intermission.  Would you be willing to bake a batch or two of your favorite or another cookie for us. We need 120 dozen to meet refreshment needs.   Performances begin Wednesday, February 8 and run through February 19.  Cookies can be brought to the theater on nights the play runs or we can arrange drop-off or pick-up of your cookies by our hospitality team.  Boxed or bagged cookies are stored in the theater kitchen freezer until they are needed.

Please click this link - Cookie Bakers  - or copy it into your search engine to sign up online.  Or call Judi at 608-369-1073 or email at rjpugh@centurytel.net if you are willing to bake this year.  Thank you Hospitality Crew – We need at least 4 people to serve at each performance of the play.  Two will need to arrive before 7:00 p.m. to check ticket holders in on Wednesday through Saturday nights or by  2:00 p.m. for Sunday matinees.  These volunteers plus 2 others will prepare the table and counter for serving cookies, cheese and sausage, punch, wine and water.   We are usually cleaned up and ready to go home by 9:00 or 9:30.  Play dates are evenings Wednesday, February 8 through Sunday matinee on February 12 and evenings again from February 15 through Sunday matinee on February 19. Please click on this link -  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E4BABAD29A7F5C52-hospitality – or copy it into your search engine to sign up online.  Or call Judi at (608) 369-1073 or email at rjpugh@centurytel.net with a date or dates you can work. Thank you.
I thank you for your making this revision and am sorry for the inconvenience.  I hope I’ll see you at the Theater.

Snobirds:

To Those Who Have Purchased Low Country Boil Tickets:  If you purchased tickets at our January 4th meeting, cross out "Zoo Access for the Day" on all your tickets.  The Low Country Boil ticket WILL NOT get you into the Zoo for free on February 10.  You do not have to pay an entry fee to enter the Low Country Boil area as that is an entrance separate from the Zoo entrance.  We expect that a "buy one-get one free" coupon for Zoo admission will be available for you at our January 17 meeting.  There will be restrictions on when you can use the coupon so read it carefully.  Stop by the Low Country Boil sign among the information tables to pick up your coupons.
