Wisconsin Snobirds

November 29, 2019

Snobirds:

  • from Nancy Durgin, Wisconsin Snobird Club News Paper Correspondent: The Wisconsin Snobird Club collected $1,875.00 at our January, February and March meetings earlier this year. We used the donations to buy Walmart gift cards and gave them to Erica Hall, Baldwin County Human Resources, to give to 75 of their foster children to buy Christmas presents for themselves. Usually there are almost 200 children in this program at Christmas time.
  • Many of you may not know this besides being the Chairperson of our Angle Tree Program along with her husband Gary, Nancy is and has been our club new correspondent to the local papers.
  • The Snobird Club's first meeting in 2020 will be Wednesday, January 8, at the Orange Beach Event Center near the Wharf. We start with coffee and donuts and 8:30 am and the meeting begins at 9 am. All WI Snobirds are encouraged to come, even if you have decided to buy a home and settle here in Lower AL.
  • Pictures of The Wisconsin Snobird Club Thanksgiving Dinner are on our website.

  • from Judi Pugh 608-369-1073: This year there is a change in ticketing for the Snowbird Production of Sex Please We’re 60. The show runs at the South Baldwin Community Theater February 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 and 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23. You can order tickets online right now. Anyone wanting tickets for this play and any others can go to sbct.biz or call 251-968-6721 after 10:00 a.m. weekdays. As you know, tickets go fast so our Wisconsin Club members should sign up now. I have other needs at the theater that I will email you about later when I get more details. The ticket situation needs to go out now because of shortage of tickets.
  • The Snowbird Gulf Coast Magazine; The first addition of the magazine has two errors in the Wisconsin Snobird Club Information. ** The first is a breakfast listed at The Diner in the month of December. THERE IS NO BREAKFAST IN DECEMBER. ** The second is the omission of our second meeting in March. OUR SECOND MARCH MEETING IS WEDNESDAY MARCH 11th. The meeting is at the Orange Beach Community Center (OBCC)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you

Here is a idea, why not put you lanyard in the glove box or console of your vehicle, that way you will always have you name tag.
