The 2020-21 calendar (below) has been updated, be advised there may be changes. 

(posted 3-25-2020) Below is a picture of the check presentation of the funds that we raised at our 2020 Zoo Fun Day. Zoo Director Joel Hamilton (left) accepting the check from Club President Kenn Krouse (right); the $857.67 will go towards two 8" X 8" brick pavers and one deck board, all of which will be inscribed with Wisconsin Snobirds 2020. You can check out the zoo website at Leave A Legacy : Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo if you want to see the items or maybe buy one of the many ways of donating to the zoo.

The total amount donated to The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo in 20 years of Zoo Fun Days is $14,772.89.

(posted 3-20-2020) COVID-19 Croronavirus update Alabama Governor Ivey has ordered beaches (click to download) and other places closed.  On another note the medical people now are saying gastrointestinal problems (GI) might be indicated in half of those who get the virus.

(posted 3-15-2020) The 2019-20 Snowbird season meeting schedule concluded with meeting #6 on March 11 at the ORANGE BEACH EVENT CENTER.  Once the 2020-21 calendar has been released I will post the schedule on the website and Google calendar.  Safe travels all and remember to wash your hands.

(updated 2-27-2020) With a membership of 827, the Wisconsin SnoBird club is the largest Snowbird club in the local area. Membership and activities are open to all current and former Wisconsin residents who are visiting or living in the southern Alabama and northern Florida areas. The Club has a variety of recreational, social, fellowship, and travel opportunities for members' enjoyment. Please feel free to contact any one of the Club Officers with your suggestions. The 2020 meeting and activities schedule has been posted on the calendar and the 2019-20 events link below. Coffee and doughnut social is one hour prior to the meeting; hear club updates, get your chance to win various raffle items and visit the social committee booths for club activity information. A guest speaker is often at the meetings. To become a member of the Wisconsin SnoBird club you may either join at a meeting or in the off-season send an email to wissnobirds@yahoo.com or the Membership Chairperson Tom Chestnut at tac.smc.14@gmail.com

(posted 2-01-2020) The picture below is of the two baskets that the Wisconsin Snobird Club will donate to the Trivia Night, benefiting the Libraries of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. The baskets contain items that you brought from your part of the state of Wisconsin. The Basket were put together by Patty Calderaro and a friend. Many thanks to Patty and to everyone that donated something.

(posted 1-22-2020, Nancy Durgin photo credit) The Gulf Shores JROTC - Elizaabeth Shumate, Gracie Russell-Anders, Stacy Steens, Tommy Ross presented the colors at our meeting on Jan. 22.. The Wiscosnin Snobird Club is one the primary fundraisers for this group by selling coupon books.

Pictured is the club presidents and a group of area government officials. Get ready for another great season, everyone. So many projects the Snowbirds are a part of and contribute back to their winter home.
